Worth the drive or pit stop off of I66 to grab ham n cheese croissants and biscuit sammiches. Pretty much everything here is delicious and grab a pie to take home. We drive out here every few months to get our fix.
Love the coffee here, and I've never had a pastry I did like. This is a great place to stop on the way to Shenandoah, and grab a couple of their chicken salad sandwiches for your cooler. The sweet tea cake is delicious, but there are too many yummy options.
A must try. Truly delightful place. The best blueberry pie period! You also must try the lemon blueberry muffins. And the spinach feta croissants are delicious. Everything is very good! The staff in the Marshall location are true professionals from the bakers to the customer service personnel.
The location is very convenient from Interstate 66. You get off and you get right back on. Lots of parking in the back. Thank you Red Truck Bakery for a great experience.
Great place for a tasty snack. Absolutely enjoyed the Maryland Crab Soup the other morning.
Omg this is a place you MUST visit! As a pastry chef, my expectations are set high for small town bakeries. We were not disappointed. Got the butter croissant and blueberry lemon muffin....well, by the time we left, 3 of them! Muffins aren't easy to get right and they were perfect. I just wish they also had ice cream. It's an hour and 20 min drive and we will be back many times!
Clearly a known entity, but if you don't get here early, you'll have slim pickins'. The grab and go is convenient, but has an impact on the freshness, which is unfortunate. I've had the meatloaf, chicken, and tuna sandwiches. They are very good, but if made to order likely would be on a different level.
The precut pieces of apple pie are also contingent on timing - they can get overly soggy bottoms, now press play for Soggy Bottom Boys song from O Brother, Where Art Thou...
Stumbled upon this place when driving out to the wineries and I'm So thankful I did! The breakfast biscuit sandwich is super fresh and tasty and by god the PIES!! I almost bought the whole place out. The decor and ambiance was modern farmhouse clique and I love it. I highly recommend stopping in!
From what we can tell, this place lives up to the hype. We sampled only 2 of their offerings- the almond cake (which is gluten-free) and the traditional apple pie. Both were excellent. The almond cake was sweet and moist and flavorful and was great as a dessert, as well as a breakfast treat with morning tea. The apple pie was one of the best we've ever had. The crust was ridiculously good. We highly recommend grabbing some goodies from here.
Update: The pumpkin pie also rocks!
